John
Originally from Penfield, NY, Dr. John T. Morrison's
musical journey began on the surface of his his mom's hassock. His
parents quickly tired of the furniture abuse which prompted the 11 year-old
boy to purchase a snare drum and cymbal.
Forty years later, John's enthusiasm for playing continues.
He has played for clubs in Florida-based bands such as Tymes,
Hollywood, and Cassanova, which included studio work, overseas performances
and TV appearances.
Following a full-time, musical career, he started a computer company in 1989 (Morrison
Computers), which he closed in 2000 in order to pursue educational
aspirations. He earned a Master's Degree in Corporate Communication
and Technology from Rollins College, and a Ph.D. in Instructional
Technology from the University of Central Florida. Since 1999,
Professor Morrison has worked for Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida
and continues to play drums for Central Florida audiences.
John lives in Winter Springs, FL with his wife, Michelle (lead singer)
and their daughter, Sierra.
